What to do after a flood
Floods can be one of the most destructive and difficult natural disasters to deal with. Not only can they damage your property with water intrusion, they can also cause a host of other problems, including environmental and health hazards, such as mudslides, displaced wildlife, wastewater intrusion, and mold. The aftermath of a flood can be extremely costly to repair, which is why it’s important to carefully review your home insurance policy, which may or may not include flood coverage.
If you have already experienced a flood and damage to your property, consider contacting your local Extension office for additional resources and information specific to your area.
